Ok, so on several of the Blogs I've become attached to, there are lists of "101 Things To Do In 1001 Days". As you do the things on your list, you report on them. I'm gonna give it a try. But, as most of you know, unless it's church / music related, I have a hard time finishing just about anything....but I'm gonna try. Coming up with 101 things was just too hard - so I've renamed my list to "80 Things in 800 Days". Here goes....
1. Find a new job that will allow me to be closer to home everyday.
2. Lose 10 pounds.
3. Finish reading 5 books on my bookshelf that I haven't read yet.
4. Re-read Wicked.
5. Go away with my husband for a weekend ALONE.
6. Take my kids to Kings Island.
7. Take my kids to Wisconsin Dells.
8. Spend an entire weekend hunting for things to photograph. Old barns. Fence lines. Saw grass. Way cool, super sick, rusty, old and lovey things that make me happy.
9. Go on a Women's Retreat.
10. Take my Mom on a quickie vacation.
11. Buy myself a nice bracelet.
12. Pay off my Target Card and keep it paid off for at least three months.
13. Repaint the hallway upstairs.
14. Clean and rearrange the bowling alley. (The bowling alley is what we call the enormous storage area in our basement.)
15. Landscape our yard a little better.
16. Go to bed by 10:30 PM every night for two weeks straight.
17. Throw out all of the clothes I know I will never wear again and quit pretending I will someday fit in them again.
18. Exercise three days a week for two months.
19. Watch my daughter paint another oil painting.
20. Learn to knit.
21. Get in the habit of going to the salon and getting my chin / lip waxed instead of pulling hairs one at a time at home.
22. Have friends over for dinner once a month for at least six months.
23. Wash my truck by hand. Really well.
24. Go have a "spa-day" with a friend. (Something I've never done.)
25. Drink only water and milk for two weeks each month. NO SODA !!
26. Make a scrapbook.
27. Cook dinner more often instead of having Mom do it so much.
28. Cuddle.
29. Learn NOT to say anything.
30. Learn to smile and remember how UNIMPORTANT something that is upsetting me really is and move on.
31. Find a way to believe I matter instead of believing I am so forgettable.
32. Learn to let loose of my kids a little more.
33. Fill up the silver bowl with more old game pieces.
34. Play a game with my kids at least twice a month.
35. Learn a new piece on the piano not because I need to for church, but because I want to for me.
36. Finish my Hanon book for the third time.
37. Go thrifting at least one day a month.
38. Pick fresh flowers for my house at least once a month. They make me so happy.
39. Go back to the drive-in with my family again.
40. Pray more.
41. Find a way to raise the money for the audio-visual system we need at church.
42. Actually write down the hair color name I use so I don't have to stand in the aisle and guess everytime.
43. Find a perfume I'm not allergic to.
44. Buy some nice underwear (I know, I'm pathetic.) and a couple NICE new bras.
45. Find a tote that will actually FIT my choir stuff instead of using the ones I have now. (One is way too big and all the stuff rolls around inside of it and one is too small and I have to CRAM everything in there.)
46. Buy myself some clothes.
47. Make jelly BY MYSELF.
48. Sew something with my daughter.
49. Take a road trip - just for one day - somewhere with just my son.
50. Save $250.00 on my own.
51. Buy all of the artwork in my "Saved Folder" from that art wholesaler on the internet that I love.
52. Give my husband a back massage without being asked.
53. Find a couple comfortable pairs of shoes - NOT from Payless.
54. Replenish my earrings. I think I'm down to about three pair right now.
55. Make a CD of my husband's singing.
56. Be happier.
57. Take my medications everyday. (No coincidence that #56 is just before this one....)
58. Learn more about how to use my Blackberry.
59. Put some sort of marker on Puss's grave.
60. Go get that rocking chair from Alma's old house and clean it up.
61. Get the floors refinished. Finally.
62. Get the remaining pieces that I'm missing from the Fiestaware set I bought my Mom last year for Christmas.
63. Give only my own photography as Christmas presents one year.
64. Go on a picnic at the lake again.
65. Find a use for the old sink in the basement.
66. No television of any kind for a week. (That won't be hard....)
67. Compliment my husband at least once a day.
68. Start a scrap book of things I like in magazines and have cut out or saved so all of these "neat ideas" are in one place. Get my daughter to do the same thing.
69. Begin a gratitude journal. Write five things in it each night before bed that I've been thankful for that day. Get my daughter to do the same thing.
70. Figure out how to fix the hallway floor downstairs.
71. Visit three states I haven't been to yet.
72. Stop swearing.
73. Get up right when the alarm goes off for a week.
74. Answer my phone at work every time it rings for three whole days.
75. Bake cookies with my kids.
76. Eat cookies with my kids.
77. Buy a new sofa for the family room.
78. Fill six more jars with cool things in the office.
79. Build up a nice supply of blank cards to use whenever I think of someone I need to send a note to.
80. Hug my parents at least once a week.
